Audio Note™ ANS-7 Ultra high quality moving coil step up transformer

Near mint Audio Note™ ANS-7 Ultra high quality moving coil step up transformer, silver wired. It has been in my collection since I bought it new in beginning of the 1980th.

Non compromise construction with four separate transformers, each potted inside a double shielded metal case and each individual strand of silver wire is coated with a thin layer of polyurethane to prevent oxidation and sulphurous build up.

You can see the values for the generator impedances on the front, together with selectors for load impedance. I have used it together with a brought range of pick ups where VdH Condor is the latest. The impedance values are not critical. Dist. Better than 0.00003% at 10 mV and 1 kHz., crosstalk better than -80 dB. Freq. range: 2Hz-100 kHz: (+0,-2dB), 2Hz-50kHz: (+0, -½ dB). Overload 300 mV at 40 kHz. balanced/unbalanced mode. Direct input: 3 ohm. Very low noise also with Audio note IO.
