My Dublin, Ireland, for your Nyc in August September ($1 pw)
Interested in visiting Dublin at the end of August/early September for a week or more? Do you have a home in New York City (particularly Manhattan or Brooklyn) to exchange?
Our comfortable apartment is on the second floor of a well-maintained building on the banks of the main river that runs through the center of Dublin. This is an ideal location for people who want to explore the town.
The location:
The apartment is located close to the heart of Dublin, nearby museums, theaters, restaurants, pubs, and shops. All of Dublin's main attractions are within walking distance. It is just two small blocks (five minutes walk) to the west of the Temple Bar area, where you will find lots of Dublin's nightlife and music venues.
Less than 15 minutes easy walk to the west of the apartment is the entrance to Phoenix Park, the largest enclosed urban park in Europe - 1,760 acres – complete with free-roaming deer.
If you would like to explore outside of Dublin, there is also easy access by public transport to spectacular nature in the vicinity of Dublin (especially along the coast to the North and South of Dublin including the Wicklow Mountains). Since we are in the middle of the city center we do not run a car. We regularly hire a car for weekends to the west cost (3-4 hours drive) from a nearby car hire company. There are also plenty of tour buses leaving from Dublin.
The apartment:
The apartment has three rooms: the living room, the bedroom and the study that is occasionally used as a guest bedroom. There is a small kitchen off the living room equipped with dishwasher and washing machine.
It's a bright and airy apartment with wooden floors throughout. Although modest in size (60 square meters / 645 square feet) it feels spacious and uncluttered. There is also a communal garden for residents.
I will be visiting New York with my girlfriend. We would of course take very good care of your place, as we would expect of you.
